Full biography

Born in Uruguay, he began his violin studies at the age of 6 with Prof. Nelson Casale. During his music studies, Diego Naser was a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Uruguay (MEC), the SODRE Symphony Orchestra and the Montevideo Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the World Orchestra of Young Musicians and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas (YOA).

In 2002 he continued his violin and viola studies in Graz and Vienna with Prof. Eszter Haffner and Prof. Herbert Käfer (artist quartet).
He was a member of the Vienna Youth Orchestra "Junge Philharmonie Wien" and other professional orchestras such as "Wiener Kammerphilharmonie", "Baden Sinfonietta" and "The Vienna Symphonic Players", of which he was concertmaster.

In 2005 Diego Naser moved to Germany, where he continued his studies at the Hamburg Conservatory with professors Christian Stahnke, Klaus Bachmann and Christoph Schickedanz.
In Germany Diego Naser was a member of renowned orchestras such as the Kiel Philharmonic, the Hamburg Camerata and the Norddeutscher Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Hamburg (NDR).

Diego Naser has toured Latin America, North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania under renowned conductors including Daniel Barenboim, Christoph Eschenbach, Christoph von Dohnány, Max Pommer, Yakov Kreizberg, Thomas Hengelbrock, Eliahu Inbal, Peter Rundel, Carlos Miguel Prieto and Alan Gilbert.

Diego Naser studied orchestral conducting with Prof. Thomas Mittelberger at the Hamburg Conservatory and received lessons from Roberto Montenegro, Doron Salomon, Joshua Dos Santos (assistant to Dudamel) and Domingo Hindoyan (assistant to Daniel Barenboim).

Diego Naser was founder and musical director of the Störphonie Jugend-Sinfonieorchester in Germany, with which he performed in countless concerts, especially in the successful concerts at the Musikhalle-Laeiszhalle in Hamburg.
Diego Naser was also artistic director of the "Jugendkulturwoche" in Itzehoe (Germany) and later received the award "Dr. Kurt Nölke" for his cultural, social and musical commitment to German society and youth.

For his work as orchestra leader, entrepreneur and cultural manager, Diego Naser was invited by the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies in Cambridge to participate in a panel discussion on cultural management and to lead the Boston Latin Chamber Orchestra.

Diego Naser has repeatedly conducted the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil del SODRE, Orquesta Filarmonica de Montevideo, Orquesta del Festival "Alfredo de Saint Maló" (Panama), Orquesta Filarmónica de Boca del Río (Mexico), Filarmónica de Coahuila (Coahuila-Mexico).
In 2013 he was appointed director of the "PRONAFOR" (National Program for Orchestral Training) and the "Escuela Superior de Música" (Uruguay).

Diego Naser is deputy conductor and teacher trainer of the "Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil del SODRE" in Uruguay, which he has conducted in numerous concerts, as well as teachers such as Doron Salomon, Joshua do Santos, Sylvain Gasancon and Pedro Ignacio Calderon.

Diego Naser was violinist of the "West Eastern Divan Orchestra" of the famous Mtro. Daniel Barenboim, with whom he toured Spain, France and Germany, in particular participating in the week of the opening concerts of the new "Philharmonie de Paris". With this orchestra Diego Naser performed at the most important international music festivals of the world, such as Salzburg, Lucerne, Waldbühne in Berlin and "BBC PROMS" in London, and others.

Recent concerts include performances with orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfónica del Instituo Politècnico Nacional (Mexico City), Filarmónica de Coahuila (Mexico), Grazer Kammerphilharmonie (Austria), Filarmónica de Boca del Rio (Veracruz-Mexico), Euro Symphony SFK Jeunesse Carinthia (Austria), Sinfónica Nacional de Uruguay, Orquesta Juvenil Nacional de Uruguay, Junge Philharmonie Vienna (Austria), among many others. Diego Naser will make debuts in Chile, Brazil, Luxembourg, Spain, Mexico and Argentina.
