Born in USA, Mark Stephan Buhl completed his music studies in Vienna (major in organ performance) before entering the renowned Viennese artist agency Künstleragentur Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm in 1992. Initially entrusted with a number of instrumental soloists he managed to build up during his 14-year tenure a pulsating division comprising of instrumental soloists, chambermusic and ensembles of varying types.
In just a short period of time he won the trust of many of the most well-known artists, ensembles and promising young talents for national and international representation.
Equipped with well-grounded knowledge and experience he set up his own company - Mark Stephan Buhl Artists Management - in November 2006 in order to continue offering successful personal representation to artists and ensembles in the classical music world.
As of March 2012 Mark Stephan Buhl is a Board Member and as of 2013 General Secretary of the AEAA (Europe Association of Artists Managers). In May 2016 he was unanimously elected Président of the Association at the General Assembly in Rotterdam; in June 2019, his presidency ended at the General Assembly in Moscow, which took place for the first time in its 72nd history in Russia.
