[...] They strive for a different way of making music, which is not subordinate to the stereo types of today’s concert world, but rather is a result of mutual respect, nowledge and mastery which are present throughout the preparation phase [...] [...] The result is impressive all around [...] [...] It starts with the selection of the program. Titled "In Search of New Worlds", this program presents works from Switzerland, USA, Russia and Bohemia composed between 1893-1958. Command of style on behalf of all four interpreters is required, which however never lead to an academic approach or became a purpose in itself for these four full blooded musicians. Each of them an internationally sought-after soloist, is technically outstanding [...] [...] the highly artful playing of the quartet [...] [...] Besides the unusual seating arrangement of the players, also interesting was that the violinists changed the position of the leading part in each work.
